ABC Trek 10 Days
ABC Trek 10 Days

The Annapurna base camp (ABC) trekking route begins in Nayapul, which is located 45 km north of Pokhara. The trek eventually leads to the base camp of Mount Annapurna, the 10th highest peak in the world at 8091 meters. The distance from Nayapul to the base camp is approximately 45 km, but the number of days it takes to complete the trek is more significant than the distance. The Annapurna trek offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges, including the Annapurna range, the Dhaulagiri range, and the Kali Gandaki valley, as well as the opportunity to experience Mount Machhapuchhere beyond the Himalayas. The trail is one of the most recommended routes in the world and begins with landscapes of rice fields, passes through pristine villages and lush rhododendron forests, and offers a diverse cultural experience with the indigenous communities.

There are several options for reaching the base camp, and most tourists begin their trek in Nayapul, either including Ghandruk or Poon hill or both. Some trek to Ghorepani from Nayapul, while others go to Ghandruk, and both routes eventually meet at Chomrong village. Ghorepani, the largest village on the trail, offers a 360-degree view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, while Poon hill, just 30 minutes away from Ghorepani, is renowned for its breathtaking view of the sunrise, during which the first rays of the sun paint the Himalayas in golden color. Ghandruk, a Gurung village, offers a stunning view of the Himalayas as well as warm hospitality from the native people. Both routes lead to Chomraong village, where visitors can see unbelievable views of Annapurna and Machhapucchre. The more the visitors ascend, the more they are stunned by the magnificent view of the mountains. The route continues, passing the Modi river, Khuidi, Hinko, and finally to the Annapurna base camp, where Mount Annapurna, which once seemed miles away from Pokara, stands majestically in front, hypnotizing adventurers. Along the way, there are several hot springs believed to have healing powers that can cure all kinds of pain. The entire trail inevitably fills adventure seekers with euphoria and ecstasy, and attracts them to visit again and again. Some are lucky enough to visit more than once, while others recount their stories for many days to come.
