Koshi Province is eastern Nepal. Biratnagar is the capital, and the province has 14 districts. Travelers come for the Everest trail through Solukhumbu, the tea gardens of Ilam, and Koshi Tappu and Dharan where the plains meet the hills. Flights from Kathmandu use Biratnagar and Bhadrapur. Ilam tea is the usual souvenir, and the hills still serve tongba and sel roti.
