Activity

Cultural Tour

A half day in the Kathmandu Valley for the main shrines and one Durbar square. It fits before a trek or between flights.

About this Activity

The Route

The cultural tour stays in Kathmandu's old cities and gives the squares more time than a single sightseeing day can. Patan, Bhaktapur, and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the spine.

What You’ll See

Courtyards, carved windows, and the living market around each square. A stupa or Pashupatinath fits if the days allow, but the cities are the subject.

Day by Day

Slow on purpose. One city in a morning is better than ticking every gate. Shoes off at the shrines, and the artisans are working while you walk.

People & Places

Newar festivals, metalworkers in Patan, and potters toward Bhaktapur. Hotels in the valley. No trekking permit.

Why This Trip

Choose the cultural tour when the cities are the trip, not a warm-up day before a trek.
