About this Tours

The Route

A Kathmandu city day usually links Swayambhunath, a Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. The order depends on traffic and on where your hotel sits.

What You’ll See

The city from the stupa hill, the palace square, the river temples, and the great stupa at Boudha. You will not see all of them slowly in one day.

Day by Day

One full day, with real time lost in traffic between gates. Go up to Swayambhu in the morning. Shoes off at each shrine.

People & Places

Pilgrims set the pace at the temples. A guide keeps the gates in a sensible order so the day is not only a car.
