Capital Hetauda

Bagmati Province is central Nepal. Hetauda is the provincial capital, and Kathmandu, the national capital, is here, with 13 districts. Most trips start in the Kathmandu Valley: Durbar Squares, Swayambhu, Boudha and Pashupati, then Bhaktapur for pottery and juju dhau, and Patan for metalwork. Beyond the valley are Langtang and Helambu, Chitwan National Park, and the sunrise ridge of Dhulikhel. Newari food, pashmina and thangka are what visitors eat and carry home. Tribhuvan International Airport is in Kathmandu.
