Best time to go

March to MayThe forest is in flower, and the ridge often clears later in the morning.

September to NovemberHigh Camp is dry and cold. This is also when Machapuchare is seen most clearly.

What to pack

Layers, not a large bagThe trip is short, but High Camp is cold. A fleece, a rain jacket, and a warm hat are enough. Extra luggage can be left at the lodge.
